Where Will Russia Ship 200,000 Tons of Free Grain in Africa?

At the Second Russia-Africa Summit in July, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to send free grain to the neediest African countries, as the Black Sea grain deal expired in mid-month.
President Vladimir Putin pledged that Russia would provide humanitarian grain relief to six African nations listed by the World Food Program absolutely free of charge.
In mid-November, the first wheat supplies to Burkina Faso and Somalia departed Russia. Somalia's capital city of Mogadishu welcomed the first cargo ship of free grain on Thursday. This delivery, which includes a large shipment of 25,000 tons, is aimed at alleviating the damage caused by recent severe flooding in the region.
The 2022 Black Sea Grain Initiative, which was mediated by Russia, the UN, and Turkey in concert, ended on July 18. Moscow emphasized that the clauses of the agreement allowing Russian grain and fertilizer shipments had not been met. It stated that a large amount of the goods were not going to economically challenged countries in Africa, but rather to wealthier European nations.
Putin promised that Moscow would keep supplying grain and fertilizers to African countries even after the agreement expires.
