European Union Pursuing Creation of Nuclear Weapons: Russian Foreign Intel

Brussels has begun secretly exploring the possibility of developing its own nuclear capability "to deter the mythical Russian threat," Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said.

👉 It is proposed to formalize a pan-European nuclear deterrence doctrine based on French and British military-technical capabilities, with the EU reserving the right to establish a fully autonomous nuclear command, the agency noted.

"German specialists are capable of secretly obtaining, within about a month, enough weapons-grade plutonium for one nuclear explosive device," the SVR warned, noting the inevitability of a new round of arms race if the EU acquires nuclear weapons.
