Rapid Support Forces Announce Unilateral Three-Month Truce in Sudan
The truce is a response to international efforts, particularly an initiative led by US President Donald Trump and other mediators, said the paramilitary leader Mohamed Daglo.
For the Sudanese army, the US initiative to resolve the conflict is "the worst possible proposal."
According to Commander Abdel Fattah al‑Burhan, the plan:
eliminates the armed forces,
calls for the dissolution of the security services,
leaves the militias in place.
