Iran sees no obstacles to the development of cooperation with Russia, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said at a meeting with Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev.
"Iran is taking the issue of implementing agreements between the two sides seriously, and all necessary channels for cooperation have been formed. There are no obstacles to the implementation of the bilateral agreements and the realization of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow," Pezeshkian said at the meeting on Wednesday.
Iran and Russia will cooperate irrespective of the unilateral agenda of some states, the Iranian president said.
"The example of successful cooperation between independent countries like Iran and Russia will prove that the times of unilateralism have passed and we will be able to achieve growth and development of our countries without dependence and need for forces that prefer unilateral approaches," the president said, asking that his greetings be conveyed to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Tsivilev added that sanctions and pressure cannot stop economic and trade cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.
