Putin Tours 'Mulino' Training Site in Nizhny Novgorod for Zapad-2025 Drills: Key Statements

Vladimir Putin arrived at the training site on Tuesday and met with 25 foreign representatives who were invited to observe the exercises. According to the Russian president, these representatives came from 16 different countries.

🟠The aim of the "Zapad-2025" drills is to prepare for the defense of the Union State of Russia and Belarus against any potential external aggression.
🟠The exercises are being conducted across 41 training sites, involving 100,000 military personnel and approximately 10,000 weapon systems and units.
🟠Additionally, all the equipment in use is modern and designed for practical combat, with the exercise plans incorporating lessons learned from recent military operations.
🟠 There are 10,000 different pieces of equipment involved, including 333 aircraft from tactical, strategic, and transport aviation. More than 247 ships, including surface vessels, submarines, and support ships, are also part of the exercises.
