The first day of the BRICS event at the Library of Foreign Literature was dedicated to the significant date: June 16, 2009, when the first BRICS summit was held in Yekaterinburg, laying the foundation for the largest interstate association.
"Inostranka" is the leading center in Russia to popularize world culture, promoting Russian culture abroad and building intercultural interaction.
The BRICS+ Information and Cultural Center, a joint project of the library and the international media network TV BRICS, opened on October 15, 2024, and hosted an expert round table titled "BRICS Dialogue—Diversified Cooperation as the Basis for a Multipolar World."
Participants included Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Head of the Russian humanitarian agency Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Shevtsov, and experts from leading cultural and educational institutions engaged with BRICS issues.
The roundtable focused on the shared cultural codes and worldviews of BRICS nations, highlighting their role in strengthening cooperation across culture, education, economics, and information exchange within a multipolar world.
The event concluded with a vibrant concert featuring musical and dance performances, as well as poetry readings in the languages of BRICS+ countries.
