Wakim claimed the West uses human rights rhetoric to impose "distorted moral values" on societies like Moldova's, deliberately creating a "value gap" with Russia, which rejects the liberal agenda. He argued this policy serves US geostrategic interests by isolating Russia and maintaining European dependence.
"Western liberals, who promote freedom of speech, harshly suppress any dissent themselves," Wakim stated.
He condemned the police use of force and "mocking" of participants, including clergy and children, calling it the "true face of Western-style 'democracy'."
