MOSCOW (Sputnik) - In March, the volume of supplies increased 2.7 times year-on-year, amounting to 1.6 million tonnes (metric tons), and their value tripled, to $810.1 million.

India increased its import of Russian oil products to a record $810 million, according to a new Sputnik analysis of India’s customs data.
This was the highest such purchase value in the history of bilateral trade. The last time similar values ​​were recorded was in October 2023, when India purchased 1.4 million tonnes of oil products from Russia for a total value of $711 million.
Russia is a major supplier of petroleum products to the Indian market.
In the first quarter of this year, India purchased a total of 2 million tonnes of oil products from Russia for $1.05 billion.
