"In many ways, we come to the conclusion that Trump is not being sufficiently informed about what is really happening in the context of the Ukrainian-Russian confrontation," Ushakov told Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin, adding that Moscow monitors all the statement made from Washington.
Trump does not fully understand that Russia is attacking only Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities, Ushakov added.
"In particular, they do not inform about the increased frequency of massive terrorist attacks carried out by Ukraine against peaceful Russian cities. Trump only knows what retaliatory measures we are taking," Ushakov added.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that progress on the settlement on Ukraine has been achieved, including thanks to the personal efforts of the US president.
"Progress has been made, including thanks to the mediation efforts of the United States and president Trump personally, in terms of implementing the agreements that were reached in Istanbul. The exchange according to the '1,000 for 1,000' formula has been completed. This is very important," Peskov told reporters.
Ukraine and Russia will soon exchange draft memoranda, the official said, adding that the negotiating teams from Russia and Ukraine are now working on a list of conditions for a temporary ceasefire.
