Russia awaits Ukraine's reaction to the proposal to hold talks in Istanbul on May 15, presidential aide for foreign policy Yuri Ushakov said.
"Well, of course, we are awaiting a reaction," Ushakov told reporters.
Russia-Ukraine talks in Istanbul will resume taking the real situation into account, he added.
"Taking this into account, of course. Taking into account the real situation," the official noted when asked whether the talks in Istanbul would resume from where they stopped in 2022.
The Kremlin will announce who will lead the Russian delegation to the Istanbul talks on Ukraine, the Kremlin aide pointed out.
