Russian President Declares Truce in Days of 80th Anniversary of Victory Day

The Russian side once again declares its readiness for peace talks without preconditions, aimed at addressing the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis and constructive interaction with international partners, the Kremlin stated.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Monday a truce on the days marking the 80th anniversary of Victory, the Kremlin reported.
It will be in effect from midnight on May 7th to May 8th until midnight on May 10th to May 11th.
Russia believes that the Ukrainian side should follow this example.
In the event of violations of the truce by the Ukrainian side, the Russian Armed Forces will provide an adequate and effective response.
