More than 20 Russian companies are taking part for the first time in the International Exhibition of Information Technologies and Innovations GITEX Africa Morocco 2025, presenting their solutions at the Made in Russia stand with the support of the Russian Export Center (REC) and the assistance of the Russian Trade Mission in Morocco, the REC reported.
The event is held from April 14 to 16 in Marrakech. Russian participants of the exhibition represent various regions of the country: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Ryazan, Ulyanovsk, Sverdlovsk, Novosibirsk regions, Tatarstan and others.
"At the Made in Russia stand, Russian companies are demonstrating cutting-edge developments for smart cities, including modern solutions for transport maintenance, as well as high-tech software and AI solutions in the fields of medicine, cybersecurity, water supply, video surveillance, etc.," the statement said.
Currently, Morocco ranks third among Russia's African trading partners after Egypt and Algeria. The export structure is dominated by oil products, coal, and starch processing products, but there is a tendency for the share of high-tech products to increase. Russia views Africa as a promising partner in the IT sector, seeking to expand cooperation and increase the volume of IT services exports, the REC noted. For participants in the national exposition, the center will organize at least 150 b2b meetings with potential partners from Morocco and other countries.
"The African continent is demonstrating rapid development of digital infrastructure, which creates favorable conditions for the export of Russian IT technologies and cybersecurity solutions. With the support of the Russian Export Center and the Russian Trade Mission in the Kingdom of Morocco, Russian IT exporters can successfully gain a foothold in the Moroccan market and contribute to its digital transformation," said Alexey Andreev, Russian Trade Representative in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The REC noted that it provides significant support to Russian exporters participating in foreign exhibitions and business missions. Businesses are co-funded 100% of the costs of renting space for business events, as well as the costs of creating temporary infrastructure, information promotion, administration and organization of events. The REC carries out a targeted search for potential partners for Russian companies and supports them at every stage. The schedule of business missions and international exhibitions for 2025, in which exporters will be able to participate with the support of REC, is available on the "Events" page on the "My Export" digital platform.
