UAE rejected on Thursday Sudan's accusations of complicity in genocide and supplying weapons to the Rapid Support Force rebels at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
"This is not a legitimate legal action," UAE Deputy Assistant Minister of Political Affairs Reem Ketait told the ICJ hearing, referring to Sudan's case over genocide in the West Darfur state.
The case filed by Sudan "was completely devoid of evidence, completely distorting the Genocide Convention and the requirements of State responsibility," the UAE official claimed.
