The US-Ukraine rare earth metals deal is comparable to Belgium's colonial exploitation of Africans in the 19th century, US media reported.
"The Trump administration is exploiting Kiev’s moment of greatest dependency to impose a resource-extraction contract. That deal was recently revised into a form worthy of Belgium’s 19th-century exploitation of the Congo, while offering Ukraine no security guarantees whatsoever," the media said.
