Russia's Channel One cameraman Dmitry Volkov received serious injuries and has been connected to a breathing ventilator and urgently taken to the Kursk hospital, the region's acting governor, Alexander Khinshtein, said on Wednesday.
"Today in the Belgorod border region, as a result of the terrorist actions of the armed forces of Ukraine, a film crew of Channel One was injured. War correspondent Anna Prokofieva was killed, cameraman Dmitry Volkov was seriously injured. With a mine-explosion injury, burns to his face, forearm, left arm, legs, and upper respiratory tract, he was taken to the Oboyanskaya hospital, is now connected to a ventilator and is urgently being taken to the Kursk Regional Hospital. His condition is serious — our doctors will do everything possible and impossible to save his life!" Khinshtein said on Telegram.
