Ethiopia is actively seeking a reliable and sustainable maritime access solution through peaceful diplomatic efforts rooted in mutual benefit, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Nebiat Getachew told ENA.
He emphasized that securing a sea outlet has become a pressing concern for the nation as it strives to ensure secure and sustainable access to international trade routes.
“The quest for maritime access or sea outlet for Ethiopia has recently become a matter of concern as the nation needs sustainable and secured seaport or outlet to the sea; and the issue is being reflected in our diplomatic activities,” the spokesman was quoted as saying.

“The nation is committed to persistently pursuing this goal of achieving sustainable maritime access,” Nebiat Getachew added.
