Kenyan entrepreneur Carolyn Olang created an eco-friendly solar oven. The oven can operate without the use of carbon or wood, as explained by its creator in an interview with Africa News.
The machine consists of two wooden boxes with thermal insulation made of corn husks, a glass lid, and an aluminum panel that reflects sunlight.
Street food vendors already use the oven.
The device costs about $38, and reduces the reliance on traditional energy sources while saving money.
However, one limitation of this oven is that it cannot be used during the rainy season.
