The South African foreign ministry condemned Israel's recent restrictions on aid entering Gaza, calling it a form of starvation used as a weapon of war.
Preventing food from reaching Gaza is a "plausible genocide" based on the ICJ ruling, the ministry stated, calling for international accountability.
"The people of Gaza are experiencing immeasurable suffering and urgently need food, shelter and medical supplies," the ministry said.
Prior to Sunday, a fragile ceasefire since January had allowed increased humanitarian aid into Gaza. However, Israel then announced it would block deliveries until Hamas accepted its terms for a truce extension.
