Ukraine lost 38,920 troops in February but was able to mobilize less than 28,000, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

"The Kiev regime's desperate attempts to change the situation with regard to replenishing losses on the line of contact are not succeeding. The data for February confirm the trend of previous months of the number of wounded and killed AFU servicemen steadily exceeding the number of those mobilized," the ministry said in a statement.
