Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud discussed and agreed to enhance cooperation between their two countries.
The leaders, acknowledging deep ties and a shared border, pledged increased cooperation for mutual benefit and trust-building.
Abiy and Mohamud affirmed their commitment to mutual prosperity and regional stability through infrastructure development and closer ties. They welcomed technical talks in Ankara and a security cooperation agreement between their respective armies.
The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate on common interests, enhance peace and security, and strengthen bilateral relations for the benefit of their citizens and the wider Horn of Africa region.
