Russia and Namibia may expand cooperation in the healthcare sector; in particular, the Russian Federation is ready to provide assistance in ensuring the supply of necessary medicines, the Russian Health Ministry reported.
Russia and Namibia confirmed their interest in developing cooperation in the healthcare sector during a working meeting between Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko and Minister of Health and Social Services of the Republic of Namibia Kalumbi Shangula, according to the press service.
Murashko also emphasized that medical tourism is developing in Russia, and Russian medical institutions are ready to accept Namibian citizens for treatment, including those with serious illnesses.
