Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi confirmed that Egypt is working on a comprehensive plan to rebuild Gaza without displacing the Palestinians.
This announcement came during a meeting with Ronald Lauder, the head of the World Jewish Congress. The discussion centered on restoring regional stability and Egypt's efforts to implement the Gaza ceasefire, including hostage and prisoner exchanges and facilitating humanitarian aid.
El-Sisi emphasized the importance of rebuilding Gaza without displacing its residents and urged all parties to maintain the ceasefire. He warned of the risks of escalation and stated that establishing a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, is the only way to achieve lasting peace.
After the meeting, Lauder expressed his willingness to consult with Egypt on relevant issues, recognizing the country's key role in achieving peace in the Middle East.
