Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and Secretary of Energy Christopher Wright will be leading the work of the new body.
Wright announced on Friday that he had approved the first license for the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) since the suspension implemented by the Biden administration.
"This morning, I signed our first LNG export license, unpausing the pause in action. The Commonwealth LNG project that will be on the Gulf Coast in Louisiana is now officially ready to go," he said.
