US President Donald Trump has said he is okay to take the issue of Ukraine’s membership in NATO off the table because he does not think it is practical, the CBS News broadcaster reported.
"I’m OK with that," the report quoted Trump as saying on Wednesday when asked to comment on Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s comments on Ukraine’s membership in NATO. "I don’t think it’s practical."
Trump also noted in his remarks on the issue that it has been a long-standing position of Russia that it would not allow Ukraine to become a NATO member.
