The Russian government will allocate 50 million rubles (about $530,000) in 2025 to purchase medical equipment for the Russian Red Cross hospital in Addis Ababa, according to the text of the directive signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"In 2025, allocate budgetary funds from the federal budget to the Ministry of Health of Russia, amounting to up to 49,884,600 rubles, to provide a subsidy to the All-Russian public organization 'Russian Red Cross' for purchasing equipment for the hospital of the All-Russian public organization 'Russian Red Cross' named after Dejazmach Balcha in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia)," read the document.
The Russian Ministry of Finance is tasked with ensuring the funding for the purchase of medical equipment, and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is instructed to assist, within its authority, in resolving issues related to the delivery of this equipment.
The list of equipment to be purchased includes, in particular, two anesthesia machines, two ventilators, and two portable ultrasound systems.
