Somalia will not participate in “displacement policies planned by Washington against Palestinians,” the Somalian foreign ministry stated.
The country rejected any plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to its territory, despite reports that some autonomous regions were open to the idea.
Somalia's rejection follows reports in the UK media quoting Israeli and Puntland officials suggesting Gazans could be relocated to Puntland, Somaliland, or Morocco, with Puntland expressing willingness. However, Somali federal officials have distanced themselves from these claims.
