MOSCOW (Sputnik) - World figure skating champions of 1994, Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, were on board the plane that crashed in the United States, a source told Sputnik on Thursday.

On Wednesday evening, a military helicopter that was reportedly operated by the US Army collided with a passenger jet approaching to land at Ronald Reagan International Airport in Washington, DC. From January 21 to 26, the US Figure Skating Championships were held in Wichita in Kansas, US.
The total of 18 bodies and no survivors has been recovered so far from the site of the aircraft collision, the media reported.
