Russia struck Ukrainian armed forces in the city of Pervomaisk, in Nikolayev (Mykolaiv) region, in the early hours of Tuesday, destroying NATO artillery equipment, the coordinator of the pro-Russian underground network in Nikolayev told Sputnik.
"Initial information indicates that NATO artillery equipment was hit, and some warehouses sustained damage," Sergey Lebedev said.
The strike hit a cluster of Ukrainian manpower at 12:34 am local time (22:34 GMT). Eyewitness accounts suggest a significant aftermath, with ambulances rushing through the city following the explosion. Further details on the extent of damage and casualties are yet to emerge.
