Kenya hopes to establish a direct air link with Russia, expecting it to increase tourism to the African nation, Kenyan Ambassador to Moscow Peter Mutuku Mathuki told Sputnik.
The diplomat stated that implementing the launch of direct flight requires negotiations between the two countries to meet international requirements, adding that making Kenyan tourism more attractive is in the African country's interest.
In 2024, more than 7,000 Russian tourists visited Kenya, according to the ambassador.
