Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to reshuffle his cabinet on Friday in the wake of the departure of Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, the Global News broadcaster reported on Thursday.
Freeland resigned from the cabinet earlier in the week, citing differences over major spending decisions.
In her resignation letter, she described the incoming Donald Trump administration's policy of "aggressive economic nationalism," including a threat of 25% tariffs, as a "grave challenge."
