Burkina Faso Names Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo New PM After Government Shakeup

On Friday, Burkina Faso's President Traoré dismissed Prime Minister Tambela and his entire government. However, the ministers will continue to oversee affairs until a new administration is formed. The official reasons for the dismissal have not been announced yet.

On Saturday, the military government of Burkina Faso announced the appointment of Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo as the new prime minister. He replaced Apollinaire Joachim Kyelem de Tambela, who stepped down after the government was dissolved on Friday.
Ouedraogo earlier served as communication minister and spokesperson for the previous government.
