The country's new government announced on July 6 that it had abandoned plans to deport illegal migrants to Rwanda and intended to create a special command to combat illegal migration.
This amount includes 290 million pounds intended to support Rwanda's economic development and the process of receiving and accommodating migrants, the statement read on Monday.
In addition, another 50 million pounds was spent on flights to Rwanda, 95 million pounds on migrant accommodation centers, and another 280 million pounds on "other fixed costs."
In early July, the Rwandan government said that the country would not repay the UK 290 million pounds it spent on the implementation of the deportation scheme.
