More Than 140 People Reportedly Die From Unknown Disease in DR Congo

In July, Russia's health watchdog Rospotrebnadzor began monitoring an outbreak of an unidentified disease in Nigeria's Kulani community, Gombe State, where over 50 people have been affected. The disease was characterized by headaches, fever, abdominal pain, and jaundice, but its causes were unknown.

Remy Saki, the deputy governor of the affected Kwango province in the southwest of the country, told a Western media outlet that 143 people died from the unknown disease in November, and the number of infected is continuing to rise.
The disease is accompanied by high fever and severe headaches. It primarily affects women and children.
