The government of Chad has decided to terminate the defense cooperation agreement with France, the country's foreign ministry said.
"The government of the Republic of Chad informs the national and international community about the termination of the agreement on defense cooperation with France signed on September 5, 2019," the ministry said in a statement posted on social media.
The government of Chad also expressed gratitude to France for the cooperation, adding that it is ready to continue constructive dialogue to look for new forms of partnership.
