Armed groups in Mali have received white phosphorus munitions from Ukraine, local media said.
According to the report, last week a captured Tuareg militant said that his group received 120 mm munitions for 2B11 mortars from Kiev. Photos of the munitions and the consequences of shelling were published by resources close to the terrorist group Al-Qaeda*.
Earlier, Deputy Secretary for External Relations of the rebel coalition CSP-DPA, Attaye Ag Mohamed, told French media that the Tuareg rebel groups in northern Mali have long cooperated with Ukraine and received support from it, including the exchange of intelligence information.
In August, Mali and Niger severed diplomatic ties with Ukraine over its support for terrorist groups in Africa.
