Indonesia has been invited to become a BRICS partner country and gives a positive answer, the country's ambassador to Russia, Jose Antonio Morato Tavares, told a Russian news agency.
He added that the benefits of this status mean that the country can participate in BRICS meetings, not as a member, but as a partner, depending on the conditions that have already been determined by the BRICS countries.

BRICS is an intergovernmental organization established in 2006. Russia's 2024 presidency of BRICS began with the joining of new members.
