From November 3 to 16, doctors from African countries, including Zambia, Zimbabwe and Rwanda among others, are undergoing a 2-week intensive program in Moscow within the framework of the Russian initiative of sharing the expertise in maternal and infant health with international partners from friendly countries.
The team of Russian specialists from the National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after V. I. Kulakov conducts the training "Ways to Reduce Maternal and Infant Mortality," which focuses on practical skills and utilizes basic and high-tech simulation equipment to enhance professional competencies and improve the quality of medical care.
This initiative, driven by Russia's success in reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in recent years, follows the Russian president's decree to allocate funding for the organization of scientific and practical training seminars.
