Nigeria's NNPC Announces 10-Year Gas Supply Deal With Dangote's Oil Refinery

Owned by Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote and inaugurated on May 22, 2023, in Lekki, Nigeria, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery is expected to be operating at near full capacity by the end of the year, with full operating capacity planned for the first quarter of 2025.

NNPC Gas Marketing Limited signed a 10-year deal to supply 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day to Dangote's oil refinery in Lagos, owned by billionaire Aliko Dangote, according to the media. The financial details of the deal were not released.
According to the agreement between Nigeria's state oil firm and the Dangote refinery in Lagos, the gas will be used for power generation and as feedstock for the refinery. The contract includes options for renewal and potential increases in supply.
