Shoigu to Visit China From November 11-14, Russian Security Council Says

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu will visit China from November 11-14 to meet with the country's top political leadership, the press office of the Russian Security Council said on Sunday.

During his visit, Sergey Shoigu will meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to discuss strategic security issues, the press office said on Sunday.

"Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu will make a working trip to the People's Republic of China from November 11-14. The secretary of the Russian Security Council will hold consultations on strategic security issues with a member of the political bureau of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, the head of the office of the Foreign Affairs Commission and Foreign Minister Wang Yi," the press office said in a statement.

Furthermore, Shoigu will discuss issues of public security, justice, law and order with Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission Chen Wenqing, the press office added. The Russian official will also visit the Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai, during which Russian fifth-generation fighter Su-57 will be presented abroad for the first time, according to the statement.
