Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the staff of the international news agency and radio Sputnik on its 10th anniversary in a telegram published by the Kremlin on Monday.
"Dear friends! I congratulate you on your anniversary — ten years since the start of the international news agency and radio Sputnik," he said.
The president noted that all these years, the staff at the head office and numerous foreign bureaus of Sputnik have been performing their professional duties efficiently, promptly and responsibly, sharing reliable news and in-depth analysis with the audience, always relying on verified, objective facts.
At the same time, the agency's journalists provide a platform for people with different points of view on the main political, economic, and social trends in Russia and the world, Putin emphasized.
The Russian head of state wished the Sputnik team creative success and all the best.
