Brazil's Exports to Russia Reach Maximum Since February 2022, Statistical Data Shows

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Brazil's exports to Russia in October reached $216 million, the highest level since February 2022, Sputnik analysis of data from the Brazilian statistical services showed on Friday.

Exports of Brazilian companies to Russia jumped twice year-on-year and 1.4 times month-on-month in October, reaching $216.3 million. At the same time, the sales of Russian goods in the Latin American nation have also increased by 9% month-on-month and be 25% year-on-year, reaching $1.05 billion.

The bilateral trade amounted in October to $1.3 billion, as opposed to $1.1 million in September or to $938 million in the same month of 2023.
Over the first nine months of 2024, the bilateral trade reached a record $10.8 billion, which is 20% more than that in 2023. Russian exports amounted to 88% of trade, while Brazilian exports were at 12%.
