Morocco's population has grown by 8.8% since 2014, Mustapha Baitas, a spokesman of the country's government, told local media, citing the preliminary results of a national census. By September 2024, the number exceeded 36 million, he noted.

According to the spokesman, since 2014, the number of households has increased by 1.9 million and reached 9.27 million. At the same time, the number of foreigners in Morocco has exceeded 148,150, he added.
