Ethiopia will lend South Sudan $738 million for the construction of a cross-border road, Ethiopian media reported.
According to the news outlet, it is expected that the project is set to improve connectivity between Ethiopia and South Sudan and strengthen ties between the two countries. The report added that Ethiopian engineers will participate in the construction of the road.
The loan that Ethiopia intends to provide to South Sudan will include a four-year grace period and will be repayable over ten years, local media reported.
