The number of people killed as a result of Israeli strikes on Lebanon on Wednesday has reached 45, while 110 others have received injuries, the Lebanese Health Ministry's Emergency Operations Center said.
"Over the past day, October 30, 45 people were killed and 110 were injured as a result of Israeli bombing in different areas of Lebanon," the agency said in a statement on Thursday.
Since October 1, Israel has been conducting a ground operation against Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon while continuing airstrikes. Despite losses, Hezbollah has been fighting Israeli troops on the ground and launching rockets across the border. Israel says its main objective is to create conditions for the return of 60,000 residents who fled shelling in the north.
