Iran’s response to the Israeli attack will likely come before the US presidential election scheduled for November 5, CNN reported, citing a high-ranking source.
"The response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the aggression of the Zionist regime will be definitive and painful … will probably take place before the day of the US presidential election," the source was quoted as saying by the broadcaster on Wednesday.
On October 1, Iran fired several hundred ballistic missiles at Israel following the deaths of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas political head Ismail Haniyeh, and top commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (elite units of the Armed Forces) Abbas Nilforoushan. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that while his administration does not aim for war with Israel, it will firmly address any threats.
