A high-ranking delegation of Egyptian military and security officials has met with Israeli Secret Intelligence Service (Mossad) Director David Barnea and a delegation of the Israeli Security Agency, Egyptian broadcaster Al Qahera News reported, citing a security source.
Egypt informed the Israeli delegation of its opposition to Israel's ongoing military operation in the northern Gaza Strip, the report said on Thursday. In addition, Cairo warned of the danger of Israel continuing to obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, the broadcaster reported.
On Thursday, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said that a team of negotiators, including representatives of the United States and Israel, will arrive in Qatar to discuss ways to reach a Gaza ceasefire agreement. Later, an adviser to the Israeli prime minister, Dmitry Gendelman, told Sputnik that Barnea will travel to Doha on Sunday.
