Sputnik Africa is live as the president of Russia is holding the BRICS Plus outreach meeting on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit.

BRICS Plus is an expanded format that is not limited only to the G10 countries. The meeting in Kazan is attended by representatives of almost 40 countries, including leaders of a number of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Asian, African, Middle Eastern and Latin American countries, as well as heads of international organizations.

Also on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a press conference to summarize the results of the entire three-day summit and answer journalists' questions.
