BRICS Stands Up for Victims of Neocolonialism, Pan-Africanist Says

The group is not just a coalition but a viable alternative to historical Western dominance, the president of the African Black Defense League, which is an international antiracist organization for the defense of the rights of Africans and Afro-descendants, Egountchi Behanzin told Sputnik Africa.
"The group wants to stand up for the needs of exploited nations, victims of neocolonialism or injustice at the hands of Western countries, especially those in the Global South, and promote their integration into this emerging new world order," he explained.
The creation of a BRICS grain exchange could help control rising prices and improve food security, while a platform bringing together diamond-producing countries would allow Africa to stop being "exploited like the G7 countries," according to Behanzin.
