MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip is a full-fledged genocide of the Palestinian people and a true disaster, Palestinian presidential adviser Mahmoud Habbash told Sputnik after September 7, which marked exactly one year since the start of the armed conflict in the Gaza Strip.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry's aircraft delivered humanitarian aid to residents of the Gaza Strip, the Russian Emergencies Ministry told Sputnik on Wednesday, adding that representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society received about 30 tonnes of cargo.

"The Il-76 aircraft of the Emergencies Ministry delivered the 31st batch of humanitarian aid for the civilian population of the Gaza Strip. Russian rescuers handed over about 30 tonnes of humanitarian aid to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society. It included food, tents, and sleeping bags," the ministry said.

In total, Russian flights have delivered some 800 tonnes of cargo since the humanitarian mission began: food, medicines, clothing and other essentials, the ministry added.
