The 13th Zimbabwe International Research Symposium, held at the Harare International Conference Centre, is themed "Embracing Research and Innovation for Sustainable Industrialization."
This event is a platform for research and innovation as drivers of sustainable development in Zimbabwe, where participants will share ideas, present findings, and explore solutions to industrial challenges, local media reported.
“The theme of this year’s symposium [...] is timely as the world contends with the challenge of advancing industrial growth while safeguarding our precious scarce resources and the environment. Therefore, charting the course towards sustainable industrialization undoubtedly requires a steadfast commitment to research, innovation, and the application of cutting-edge technologies,” Emmerson Mnangagwa, Zimbabwe's President, said at the opening ceremony.
Both local and international researchers are expected to participate in the event.
